Feeding the Snow Leopards!

Another non-book related blog this week (sorry!) but this weekend Jack and I did something a bit different. We went to feed some Snow Leopards at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne.

With one of my final student finance payments I decided I would use some of the money for an experience, my previous payments had all been spent on bills, uni books, etc. so I thought why not spend some of it on something that I will actually remember! So I booked the Champagne Breakfast experience.

Broxbourne is about 45 minutes from where I live and as part of the experience  you get a tour around the big cat enclosure before the zoo is open to the public, so we had to get there early! During our walk round we were told about the big cat, witness the white lion doing their territory call (so loud!), saw the new baby Jaguar and then got to feed the Snow Leopards.

We fed one of the two Snow Leopards named Panja. We took it in turns to feed meat to him having to get our hands really close to his teeth, so much so that they are able to lick your hand! After the feeding was finished we went over to the Tiger Treetop cafe and had a Champagne breakfast with a view of the tigers before having the rest of the day to look around other parts of the zoo.

It was a really exciting morning and I would really recommend going, having the zoo to yourself is reason enough! I booked through the website which you can visit here: https://www.pwpark.com/

The money that we paid for our experience goes towards helping with the conservation of the big cats so it is a worthwhile experience! Here are some of the pictures from our morning:

It was such a nice zoo, small and you could get up close to the animals. What did you all do this weekend? Let me know in the comments!

That looked fabulous! It’s made me want to go now! Were you scared when feeding the snow leopards? Incase you came back minus a finger! I know I would have been! Look forward to hearing all about it when I see you, Jack won’t give me as many details as you!
